I had the good fortune to be born and raised in this beautiful country, specifically in Messolongi, a city on the western coastline of the mainland. So many beautiful beaches, historical sites, traditional villages, and amazing seafood come from that area, which, however, remains undiscovered by most travelers. As a little girl growing up in the countryside, I dreamed of being able one day to travel all around Greece and the world, in order to meet different people and cultures. Learning English and French as a child, and being in love with the rich history of my country. I was always amazed when travelers would show up out of the blue in my land and I would try to tell them as much as possible about Greece. It was in my own hometown, Mesolongi, that a school for tour guides opened its gates, and there I saw my opportunity to pursue my dream of becoming a tour guide.
In 1997, I graduated from the Tour Guide School of Messolongi to become a nationwide licensed guide in English and French.
A few years afterwards, in 2002, Rick Steves came to Olympia and asked me to guide him and film a video together at the archaeological site. We immediately bonded over the insights and stories I shared with this inspired traveler. This was the beginning of wonderful collaboration. My experience working with a broad-minded, innovative person like Rick Steves has not only enriched my knowledge but also made me understand more completely the expectations of a visitor that has traveled many thousands of miles to visit Greece and seeks to explore various aspects of the historical, sociocultural and natural environment of our country. I was lucky enough to start working together with the guru of travel Rick Steves and accompanying him on some of his travels throughout Greece, updating his travel guide books. Working with Rick Steves was an inspiration and great lesson for me. At the same time it was a big responsibility for me to carry out, since many people contact me upon his recommendation.
I was the official guide of the municipality of Ancient Olympia for several years and I had the opportunity during the 2024 Athens Olympics, as well as pre and post 2024 Olympic periods, to guide many foreign officials such as ambassadors, heads of states, members of national Olympic committees and foreign country delegations.
One of the highlights of my career was when the BBC chose me to be the official Olympia expert for the live broadcasting of the Olympic torch lighting ceremony for the 2012 Olympics in London.
I have participated in several documentaries and filmed presentations that took place in Ancient Olympia and around Greece for foreign public televisions and private enterprises, such as DutchTV’ s “3 op reis”, BBC One’s “Getaways” and Arte’ s “Invitation au Voyage”.
It is my privilege and pleasure to be able to guide visitors and show them my country that I love and respect. The Greek heritage and culture are very fascinating, and that is what I am always trying to share with my guests during the time we spend together.
Since 2009, I have been developing my own service products in collaboration with the family business. Together with my husband we have created a team of professionals establishing a tour organization, licensed by the G.N.T.O. with offices in Athens and Ancient Olympia, offering tour and travel services to people that want to visit Greece and seek a meaningful experience.
Today my team and I feel it’s our mission to help all of you carry out your tour in Greece, customized according to your special interests and preferences, being always at your side for a unique travel experience.
